An evening of movement and rhythm that traces how artists search for identity and voice through dance. In If I gave you diamonds and pearls, members of the Kiki House of Sassy Savage turn the stage into a celebration of love, courage and individuality, reflecting the expressive energy of ballroom culture. Echo, or a new pulse? unites CAL and Tik1Taak1 (Heidi and Dominic) in an exploration of tap dance’s evolving language, at the intersection of tradition and innovation. Two performances, two generations – each searching for their own rhythm, and what it means to move forward.

In an evening shaped by voices unguarded, three artists gather to share the moments we rarely name – the soft bloom of love, the uneasy weight of who we’re expected to be and the doubts that linger long after the city goes quiet. And when the music settles, it leaves an echo behind, gentle and surprising, like a hand resting on your shoulder.

In three distinct performances, artists at very different crossroads open their worlds to the audience – one looking back at how far he’s travelled, another tracing the dreams that shaped her rise and a third finding meaning in life’s quiet in-between moments – each revealing a unique way of moving forward through music.

Have you ever looked at an artist and wondered, “but why?” This semi-autobiographical musical experience looks at the unique mental wiring of an artist and the chaos of the creative industry. Through a lively blend of jazz, hip-hop and witty lyrics, we peek into a world of split personas, feelings of imposter syndrome, outbursts of productivity, long stretches of uninspired work, the psychological tug of war between appearing too shy and appearing too arrogant, and the ever-present question, “In what world do you think it’s a good idea?”

The 1990s made Andy Hui one of the biggest names in Cantopop, and he spent part of that decade in the company of jazz musicians. A recording with guitarist Eugene Pao brought a loose, improvised feel to one of his ballads, and a series of songs with pianist Ted Lo set Hui's phrasing against harmonies that gave it room to stretch and settle.
