A classically trained violinist and pianist who was prepared to study medicine at university, Ebubé took an unexpected turn when he reconnected with the music of his youth during the pandemic. He quickly gained traction with his R&B covers on TikTok, both in France and back home in the United Kingdom, where he helped found the group No Guidnce, which was co-signed by Victoria Monet and Coco Jones. Now he is ready to step out on his own, and Ebubé is preparing to make his mark with a debut project that follows a tradition of timeless R&B that values love over toxicity.

The Oakland-based artist Maria BC (they/them) has gradually opened up about their working process over the years, moving from a one-room recording process on the 2021 EP 'Devil's Rain', where they were careful not to disturb their roommates or neighbors, to the unprocessed apartment walks on 'Hyaline' (2022, Father/Daughter), and on to a family friend's home, where an untuned baby Steinway piano stood and where they recorded the album 'Spike Field'. In 2026 Maria BC returns with their third studio album, 'Marathon'. Support: Velvy.
