Frontside

Frontside Festival is a classical chamber music festival in Gothenburg, Sweden, held in January. Founded in 2019 by the clarinetist Karin Dornbusch, who is its artistic director, it mixes well-known and new art music with folk music and free improvisation, often in unusual venues such as a boat and the attic of Kronhuset. It aims to reach curious listeners of all ages, including people new to chamber music. The 2027 edition runs from 14 to 17 January and includes a premiere commissioned by Swedish Radio P2.
