After a completely sold-out performance in July, longtime friends and collaborators Jasso and Benham return to Wanda’s to present their musical love letter to Weill’s prolific opus. This encore performance will feature more original German lyrics, along with a sneak peek at their next program, currently in development: An exploration of the music Weill wrote during his two-year Paris chapter (1933-1935).

In this hilarious and poignant new play, Doug, a blue collar worker at a family owned construction company is charged with training Paul, the boss’s gentle, secretive, college bound son during the course of a summer demolition project. Doug feels needed to help the boy get ready for life away from home. Their exchanges begin hilariously with Doug’s baudy advice comically at odds with Paul’s shy nature. As things proceed, we come to realize that Paul is struggling with something far beyond Doug’s purview and experience.  A play about identity, truth, parenthood, and courage.

Mark Leggett is a guitarist/composer in Los Angeles. His many credits include music, film and television projects with Levon Helm, Dolly Parton, Werner Herzog, Richard Thompson, My Name Is Earl, Kylie Minogue, among many others. He is twice nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for his music scores. As a guitarist he has been featured in Acoustic Guitar, Fretboard Journal and Fingerstyle Guitar Journal. Mark plays regularly in the Los Angeles area both solo and with The Mark Leggett Quartet.

Nathan Madden received his BFA from the Juilliard School and has taught and performed worldwide. He graced the stages of countless theaters during two seasons with Ballet Jazz Montreal, touring with Twyla Tharp’s Come Fly Away, and guesting with Lar Lubovitch Dance.   Nathan started his Broadway journey with CHICAGO, became an original cast member of Christopher Wheeldon’s An American In Paris, where he covered two leading roles, and was thrilled to be a part of bringing back the revival of Hello Dolly.  As a choreographer, he was awarded the “Héctor Zaraspe Prize” for exemplary movement, was a finalist for the Capezio ”ACE Awards”, and has had his workplace in “The National Society of Arts and Letters” competition. Currently designing and creating fountain choreography worldwide with Water Entertainment Technologies and loving it! “I’m so grateful to be continuing to grow from “Glory to Glory.”

Prince Peter is an actor, writer and musician. As well as acting and writing for tv and movies, Peter also wrote the NY Times best-seller, The 1980s – A Look Back (written in 1979) and the novel The Food Taster, which was published in 20 countries around the world. His one man show, “It’s never too late,” starts its World tour Sept 17 th at the Pacific Resident Theater in Venice.

Jason Downs is an actor, writer, director, producer, musician…and father! His daughter, Ridley, is already way cooler than he ever was. They are both songwriter’s, only difference is Jason was signed to Jive Records during their heyday (Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake) and released a couple albums overseas, including a top 20 hit intriguingly titled White Boy With A Feather…whereas Ridley is currently creating her first album. Ridley and Jason, along with mom (if they can coax her up on stage) will do some originals and plenty of familiar favorites to make up a casual and pleasant listening experience.

PRINCE DIABATÉ hails from a prominent, Malinké family from Guinea, West Africa. He learned his art from his father, Djéli Sori Diabaté. Breaking with tradition, his father also taught Prince’s mother, Hadja Djéli Sira Cissoko, to play kora. The young boy became an exceptionally early starter by accompanying his parents to their concerts throughout West Africa. Despite his father’s disapproval, he decided to make music his life. 

MICHAEL JOST’s music is a journey in time & space fueled by his passion for music & his instrument. His main instrument is the guitar with all the different colors & emotions. Michael’s influences are very multicolored & involve different styles, continents and time periods. Live or on in the studio expect to be surprised…

When Bette Midler needed an exciting opening number for her new Las Vegas show, she called on Bill Burnett to adapt his famous “Life Is Still Very Wow.”
She also CLOSED the first set of her Divine Miss Millennium tour with Bill’s hilarious “I Regret Everything.” Patti Lupone has performed that same song for years, putting it on her lovely Matters of the Heart album. So have over 60 cabaret performers all over the world. One of the them was Ellie Stone, the late star of the original cast of Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well.

“Alan Trinca is an actor/musician with a BFA in theatre performance from Niagara University. He spent 6 years in NYC, performing in off-Broadway plays and musicals, most notably starring in a series of parody shows as Joey in FRIENDS THE MUSICAL, Uncle Jesse in FULL HOUSE THE MUSICAL, and Dylan McKay in 90210 THE MUSICAL. Influenced by 70/s80’s rock and growing up with 90’s-00’s pop, rock, and punk, he likes to play acoustic versions of songs by bands like Radiohead, Elton John, and Coldplay. Alan was most recently seen right here at PRT in American La Ronde!”

Winner of the 2013 Tony award, Durang’s play is set in an old farm house in Buck’s County, Pennsylvania, where two siblings (Vanya and Sonia) toil away in mourning for their lives as they recover from 15 years of caretaking for their dementia-suffering professorial parents, who had clearly had a penchant for Chekhov during their lives. Their prophesying housekeeper Cassandra peppers Vanya and Sonia’s existence with foreboding warnings. Enter movie star and successful sister Masha, with her new love, Spike, and a lovely young actress from across the pond-and the play explodes into rivalries young and old.

“THE GLORY OF LOVE” - Rita, is excited to be back performing after 4 years, at Pacific Resident Theatre. She is singing the standards with a little blues and a jazz flair. Rita is joined by her fabulous, one of kind piano accompanist, David Barker.
Rita worked as a model in the states and Europe and graced the covers of many fashion magazines. During this time she worked honing her craft as a commercial actress, having 40 plus under her belt, one of which is the tree hugging grandma in the Subaru Outback commercial. Rita’s first love is acting, but Singing is another love of hers and her favorite genre is singing the blues and jazz from the 1930 and 40’s.

A mixture of pop, indie, singer-songwriter, country, and musical theater, this show is a collection of twentysomething songs/jokes/moments I was too embarrassed to show people for the first twentysomething years of my life. It's silly, it's earnest, and it's quintessentially Kyle.
