Camerata Notturna is a distinguished chamber orchestra founded in the fall of 2006, known for its unique blend of amateur and professional musicians. The professional contingent of the orchestra includes musicians with notable solo performances with prestigious ensembles such as the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Baden-Baden Philharmonic. They have held esteemed positions like concertmaster with the Curtis Symphony Orchestra, the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and the Yale Philharmonia. Their wide-ranging experiences also encompass performances and recordings with celebrated artists across various music genres, including Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lenny Kravitz, and Sufjan Stevens. The professional musicians in Camerata Notturna have been lauded with top prizes at significant international competitions, including the Irving M. Klein, Concert Artists Guild, and Fischoff competitions.
