Morcheeba

Morcheeba is not an artistic organization such as an ensemble or venue; it is actually a British band known for its unique blend of trip-hop, rock, folk-rock, and downtempo influences. Founded in the mid-1990s, Morcheeba was originally composed of Skye Edwards (vocals) and brothers Paul Godfrey (DJ/producer) and Ross Godfrey (multi-instrumentalist). The band's music is characterized by its smooth, atmospheric soundscapes and Skye Edwards' distinctive voice. Morcheeba garnered significant attention with their 1998 album 'Big Calm,' which included hits like 'The Sea' and 'Part of the Process.' While initially part of the trip-hop wave, Morcheeba's sound has evolved to incorporate a broader range of styles over the decades. They continue to perform and record, maintaining a loyal fan base around the world. As such, Morcheeba is associated more with the music recording industry rather than being an organizational venue or ensemble.
