This season, Ballet Arkansas will extend its presence across prestigious venues including the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, The Rep, and Robinson Center, under the artistic direction of Michael Fothergill.

The season kicks off with "Bold New Moves - Debut Works by Next-Gen Choreographers," a free public event scheduled for September 13-15, 2024, at Argenta Plaza in North Little Rock. This event, presented by North Little Rock Tourism, will feature world premieres by emerging choreographers, set to music by Arkansas artists. Attendees will enjoy a unique Q&A session with the choreographers, alongside local food and drinks.

A highlight of the season is the world premiere of "Carmen: A Fiery Tale of Passion and Betrayal," set to take place at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts from October 11-13, 2024. This neoclassical narrative, set to Bizet's iconic score, promises a modern-art infused production that explores the themes of passion and betrayal.

Following "Carmen," the Arkansas Repertory Theatre will host "Encore - The Seven Deadly Sins" from October 24-26, 2024. This adults-only event will blend live music, dance, and storytelling, offering a sinfully delightful experience centered around the themes of the seven deadly sins.

The holiday season will be marked by "The Nutcracker Spectacular," in collaboration with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, from December 13-15, 2024, at the Robinson Center. This beloved production will feature updated costumes and sets, ensuring a fresh and magical experience for all ages.

Additionally, the "Land of the Sweets Nutcracker Tea" will take place on December 14-15, 2024, at Robinson Performance Hall. This enchanting event invites families to enjoy teatime, activities, and performances from "The Nutcracker Spectacular."

Valentine's Week 2025 will see the presentation of "Romeo & Juliet - The World's Greatest Love Story" at the Robinson Center, from February 14-16. This production, set to Prokofiev's score and performed with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, promises a breathtaking rendition of Shakespeare's tragic love story.

The season will also feature "Nouveau," an avant-garde performance presented by the Stella Boyle Smith Trust at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts from April 25-27, 2025. This event will push the boundaries of traditional ballet with contemporary choreography and innovative interpretations.

Closing the season, "A Midsummer Night's Dream" will be performed at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts from April 25-27, 2025. This condensed version of Shakespeare's comedy, set to Mendelssohn's score, will enchant audiences with its portrayal of love, mischief, and magic in an enchanted forest setting.
