Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center, located in West Texas, is a beacon of cultural and performing arts, managed by ASM Global. A collaborative effort between the communities of Midland, Odessa, and the University of Texas Permian Basin, the center was inaugurated in 2011 with the mission to provide quality live entertainment to the Permian Basin and its surrounding areas. Named after major donor families, including Lissa Noël Wagner, the center was envisioned to attract a diverse audience through a wide range of performances. Annually, it hosts over 150 events, including country and rock concerts, symphony orchestras, Broadway shows, ballet, children's programs, and comedy acts. Home to the Midland-Odessa Symphony & Chorale, Midland Festival Ballet, and the University's music department, Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center also features Broadway in the Basin and Live on Stage Permian Basin among its resident programs. The $81 million facility, recognized for architectural excellence with a Merit Award from the USITT Architecture Awards program in 2013, includes a 1,827-seat main hall and a 192-seat recital hall. Managed by a community Board of Directors and ASM Global, the center continues to enrich the cultural landscape of West Texas.
