Yale Repertory Theatre

Yale Repertory Theatre is a renowned professional theatre in residence at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale University. Since its inception in 1966, it has established a reputation for producing premieres of new works, including over 100 productions that have garnered critical acclaim. Among these, two have won Pulitzer Prizes, and four others have been nominated finalists. Yale Rep's commitment to innovative theatre has seen 17 of its productions move to Broadway, where they have received more than 40 Tony Award nominations and won 10 Tony Awards. The theatre is also a proud recipient of the Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre. In 2008, Yale Rep further solidified its dedication to new works through the establishment of the Binger Center for New Theatre. This initiative has become one of the most significant and innovative new play programs in the United States. The Binger Center has supported the work of over 70 commissioned artists and has underwritten the world premieres and subsequent productions of more than 30 new plays and musicals at Yale Rep and other theatres nationwide.
