== GableStage == GableStage is a prominent theater company located within the historic Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida. It has a rich history dating back to its founding in 1979, when it was originally known as the Florida Shakespeare Theatre. The company initially performed Shakespearean plays in repertory at the outdoor Casino Gardens at Vizcaya. After a period of transition due to the destruction of the Minorca Playhouse by Hurricane Andrew in 1992, GableStage found a new home at the Biltmore Hotel in 1998, where it has since established itself as a cultural landmark. The theater has garnered significant acclaim, winning 64 Carbonell Awards and receiving over 200 nominations. It has also been honored with the Ruth Forman Award, recognizing its substantial contributions to the South Florida theater scene. GableStage is committed to producing a diverse range of quality theatrical productions that resonate with the multicultural audience of South Florida.
