The Irish Classical Theatre Company (ICTC), based in Buffalo, NY, was founded in 1985 by Dublin-born brothers Vincent and Chris O’Neill, along with Josephine Hogan and the late Dr. James Warde. Initially performing in various rented venues, ICTC quickly became a prominent cultural institution in Western New York. In 1999, it established a permanent home at The Andrews Theatre, the region's only true theatre-in-the-round, enhancing its intimate and immersive theatrical experiences. ICTC’s mission is to present the finest works of dramatic literature, including traditional and contemporary Irish plays, international classics, and modern works of exceptional merit, at the highest level of artistic excellence. The theatre serves audiences in Buffalo, Western New York, and Southern Ontario, and has garnered national and international recognition. ICTC is also committed to cultural and educational outreach, partnering with various local and regional organizations to make theatre accessible to underserved communities. Now in its 32nd season, ICTC continues to celebrate its Irish heritage and contribute significantly to the cultural landscape.
