As the keyboardist for the legendary Boston band and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members, The Cars, Greg Hawkes forged the sound of rock’s New Wave. Pioneering and pushing the limits of technology and sequencing in the late '70s and through the '80s, Greg cemented the synthesizer's place in rock and pop music, and his contribution has influenced countless artists since. Along with achieving Rock & Roll Hall of Fame status and massive commercial success with The Cars, Greg has been a sought-after session and touring musician, and has worked with the likes of Paul McCartney, Todd Rundgren, and The Turtles.

There is no other performer who looks and sounds so much like Elton John, nor any tribute act that provides the experience of being at an Elton John concert the way Gerald Brann and Yellow Brick Road do. Brann not only bears an uncanny resemblance to the international superstar - complete with a gap-toothed smile and many of his mannerisms - but recreates Elton John's vocals and playing to a tee. To capture the essence of the piano man, Brann dresses in replica costumes and wears Elton's trademark outrageous glasses. A trained jazz pianist, Brann has been a lifelong Elton John fan, and his admiration for and love of his music comes shining through as he plays one hit after another with remarkable likeness to the pop music icon. Brann and his talented five-piece band evoke audience participation throughout the entire show whether singing along to "Rocket Man" and "Your Song, swaying to "Candle in the Wind, or hopping and bopping to "Crocodile Rock.

Henry Cho’s comedy can be heard nationwide several times weekly on SiriusXM Radio's Channel 98, Laugh USA, Sirius Radio's Jeff and Larry's Comedy Roundup Channel 97, and Pandora Radio's PG Comedy Radio Channel. Cho is notable for being one of the only Asian-American acts to appear regularly on the Grand Ole Opry and, on February 11, he was inducted as the 229th member of The Grand Ole Opry. This prestigious honor has not been extended to a comedian since 1973.

Henry’s TV credits include appearances on NBC’s The Tonight Show, CBS’s The Late, Late, Show, and NBC’s Young Comedians Special. He served two years as host of NBC’s Friday Night Videos and had many guest roles on various network sitcoms. Henry was co-creator, co-producer and co-writer of “The Henry Cho Show” on Great American Country.

Internationally renowned veteran sax man Jerry Weldon, has been a player on the jazz scene for more than 45 years. With eight CD’s as a leader and more sideman sides than even he can count…or remember, this native New Yorker’s performance/recording résumé reflects his venerable tenor tenure and reads like a virtual "Who's Who of Jazz." After graduating from Rutgers University Jazz Studies Program in 1981, Jerry joined the legendary Lionel Hampton Orchestra and continued his association with Hamp into the new millennium. Next came a long, rewarding stint with master organist Jack McDuff & his "Heatin' System." Additionally Jerry has worked with organists Jimmy McGriff, Joey DeFrancesco, Bobby Forrester, Dr. Lonnie Smith, and Mel Rhyne, trombone great Al Grey, piano giants George Cables and Cedar Walton, drum legends Roy Haynes and Jimmy Cobb as well as guitarist/singer George Benson, guitarist Earl Klugh, bassist Keter Betts, singer Mel Tormé and a host of other legendary musicians. Jerry has played with Harry Connick, Jr.’s band since 1990 and was a regular on the HARRY TV show.

The country’s rich history of music and dance is the result of a complex intertwining of several ethnic traditions. This concert by the Rutgers University Jazz Lab Big Band, directed by Anthony Branker, will feature the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim, Luiz Bonfá, Pat Metheny, Bill Cunliffe, and music from Duke Ellington’s “Latin American Suite.”

With this concert, we remember the 67th anniversary of the Hungarian 1956 freedom fight and revolution where the Hungarian people fought for their freedom. We remember the heroes with a classic concert featuring three young and very talented musicians accompanied by a 38-member professional symphonic orchestra. Soloists include 18-year-old Violinist Gwyneth Gherzan, Soprano singer Tünde Petrovici, and Pianist HsinYi Tsai. The pieces presented are all original works composed by the conductor, Marius Marton. As the audience listens they are taken on a journey in which they can feel the joys of freedom and the sorrows of loss through music.
