It’s the most wonderful time of year when SFSO delivers its annual holiday tradition, Handel’s Messiah (Part 1, the Christmas portion plus the glorious “Hallelujah” chorus.) Adding to the magic of the season are a selections of Holiday Pops featuring uplifting songs of spirit and hope, including Josh Groban’s You Raise Me Up, Andrea Bocelli’s Because We Believe, and Bocelli and Sarah Brightman’s beloved duet Con Te Partirò, performed by dazzling guest vocalists and the South Florida Symphony Chorus.

Maestra Sebrina Alfonso leads South Florida Symphony Orchestra, along with dazzling vocal soloists Katherine Henley (soprano), Rehanna Thelwell (mezzo-soprano), Chauncey Packer (tenor) and Neil Nelson (bass-baritone), and the South Florida Symphony Chorus, in Part I (Christmas portion) -- culminating in the iconic “Hallelujah” Chorus.

Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4 delights with wit, warmth, and bursts of vitality. From its mysterious introduction to its joyful finale, this symphony reveals Beethoven at his most playful and inventive. Sandwiched between two symphonic giants, Eroica and Symphony No. 5, his charming Fourth may not be as frequently performed, but it is nonetheless a magnificent work.
