Orchestra Noir, founded in 2016 by Maestro Jason Ikeem Rodgers, is a dynamic orchestra that celebrates African-American musical achievements across genres such as classical, jazz, blues, hip-hop, and R&B. Known for its grand performances, the orchestra has quickly become one of the most talked-about in the United States, successfully attracting diverse audiences. Recognized by Atlanta Magazine as the Best of Atlanta: Classical Meets Contemporary, Orchestra Noir has collaborated with major brands like Time Warner, NBC Universal, and YouTube Music, and has performed with international hip-hop artists including 2Chainz and Migos. The orchestra has been featured in notable media outlets such as The Atlanta-Journal Constitution and CBS Radio. Beyond Atlanta, Orchestra Noir has achieved success in cities across the Southeast, with notable performances like the Beethoven Meets 90s Vibe concert in Charlotte. The orchestra was also selected for the first-ever Red Bull Symphonic event in the US with Rick Ross and has recorded original compositions for the High Museum of Art and the British Columbia Arts Council. Committed to music education, Orchestra Noir inspires young minority musicians through educational concerts and residencies, such as a recent 3-day program in Montgomery, AL. The leadership team includes Jason Ikeem Rodgers as CEO and Music Director, Keisha Rodgers as President of Operations, Larry J. Smith as Associate Music Director, and Monique Johnson as Public Relations Coordinator.
