The original facility, housed in a 1860 Tobacco Warehouse, has seen a multitude of acclaimed performances, including works by Lou Reed, John Cale, the Coen Brothers, and Charlie Kaufman. The theater has been a platform for a variety of influential companies and artists such as TR Warszawa, The Globe Theatre of London, Druid Company, and the National Theatre of Scotland. Under the guidance of founder and Artistic Director Susan Feldman, St. Ann's Warehouse has undergone a significant transformation. The new building complex, designed by Marvel Architects with DBI Projects, theater consultants Charcoalblue, and a team of expert engineers, offers an amplified scale of the organization's signature versatility and grandeur. The space respects the historical walls of the Tobacco Warehouse while providing a modern, flexible venue that can be adapted to various artistic needs. === Facilities === The new St. Ann's Warehouse includes a main theater space known for its flexible, open design that allows for multiple configurations to accommodate the creative demands of different productions. Additionally, the complex houses a Studio for smaller-scale events and community uses, as well as The Max Family Garden, designed by landscape architects Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, which is accessible to visitors during park hours.
