The Chinese Music Ensemble performs the sizhu genre of chamber music played on such instruments as the erhu, pipa, ruan, zheng and yangqin. This program is titled Wishing We Last Forever. The group pairs traditional with Western instruments. The ensemble is directed by Artist-in-Residence Wang Guowei.

In the Prime of Time: Featuring the grant and the most exquisite Asian heritage orchestra music presented by the Chinese Music Ensemble of New York, collaborating with an outstanding youth orchestra from Taiwan - The Hsinchu City Youth Chinese Music Orchestra. The concert will show case beloved traditional Chinese music from different parts of China, covering different ethnic and cultural styles. In addition to the rich and enticing orchestra music presented by over 70 musicians, there will be rarely seen Double Suona, Double Dizi, and Zhongruan Concerto as highlights of the concert.
