About BroadStage BroadStage is a dynamic performing arts venue that forms an integral part of the Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center. Located on the campus of Santa Monica College, BroadStage stands as a cultural beacon in the city of Santa Monica, California. It operates within three distinct spaces at the SMC Performing Arts Center: The Mainstage, The Edye, and The East Wing. The Mainstage is a grand 500-seat venue that provides the intimacy of a smaller theater while delivering the acoustics and staging capabilities of a larger hall. The Edye is a 100-seat black box theater that emphasizes new and innovative work, spotlighting emerging artists and promoting accessible programming. The East Wing offers a versatile space that caters to both indoor and outdoor live performances and special events. As BroadStage approaches its 15th anniversary in 2023, it is undergoing an expansion to address the evolving needs of artists, audiences, the community, and the campus it serves. Under the guidance of Artistic & Executive Director Rob Bailis, BroadStage is enhancing its artistic vision, celebrating shared humanity, and amplifying the role of the arts in enriching the diverse community.
