The Beatles band Mania! is preparing to hit The Visalia Fox Theatre like the Beatles hit the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964! The original band was formed in 2011 and was named Because. Since then, the band has been playing in packed theatres and screaming audiences all over California. “I could not be more excited about bringing this great band to Visalia” according to John Zurflueh, owner of Starbright Entertainment. “They have been playing all over northern California including several bay area theatres and other venues. I have known these guys for over ten years now and we are so lucky to have a quality Beatles band here. They engage the audience in so many ways, which just makes it that much more fun. It is rare to have a Beatles band of this quality, coming to this area, so I would recommend not missing it!”

The Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy is a 21+ only, chilling cocktail experience dedicated to the stories of Edgar Allan Poe. The event takes place inside a dark speakeasy. Los Huracanes del Norte is a regional Mexican band. Throughout their history, they have played different styles of norteño music, such as traditional norteño from northeastern Mexico, rough Norteño from Mexico’s Pacific Northwest, and saxophone norteño popular in Mexico’s landlocked states. They are originally from Yahualica de González Gallo, Jalisco, and were raised in Tangancícuaro, Michoacán. They are currently based out of Portales, New Mexico, United States. They are one of regional Mexican music’s most famous acts.

Melissa Etheridge stormed onto the American rock scene in 1988 with the release of her critically acclaimed self-titled debut album, which led to an appearance on the 1989 Grammy Awards show. For several years, her popularity grew around such memorable originals as “Bring Me Some Water,” “No Souvenirs” and “Ain’t It Heavy,” for which she won a Grammy® in 1992. Etheridge hit her commercial and artistic stride with her fourth album, Yes I Am (1993). The collection featured the massive hits, “I’m the Only One” and “Come to My Window,” a searing song of longing that brought Etheridge her second Grammy® Award for Best Female Rock Performance. In 1995, Etheridge issued her highest-charting album, Your Little Secret, which was distinguished by the hit single, “I Want to Come Over.” Her astounding success that year led to Etheridge receiving the Songwriter of the Year honor at the ASCAP Pop Awards in 1996.

The group’s members were originally part of country pop singer Don King‘s road band. When King stopped touring in 1981, the group decided to stay together. The band played up to five sets a night, six days a week (for a time at Knight’s Corral, on Nolensville Rd., in Nashville, as “Bobby, Mark, and Sandgap”), until they auditioned for the TV show Star Search in 1983. They won the grand prize of $100,000 and a recording contract.

He sings and plays trumpet, violin, guitarrón, and vihuela, and has performed in some of the most renowned venues around the world. He has recorded with the most respected and recognized names in the industry, including Selena, Vicente Fernandez, Luis Miguel, Bryan Adams, and the Beach Boys, and has received four Grammy nominations.

Family has always been at the center of things for Los Lonely Boys. Henry, Jojo, and  Ringo Garza have been playing and touring together since they were teenagers. Three years ago, they decided to take a break to focus on their own growing families. But, Summer 2022 saw them back at it again, returning to life on the road alongside The Who. The Boys have been making music together for seventeen years now, and they show no signs of slowing down or losing inspiration. Today, you’ll find them in the studio, working on their newest album.

Kenny Metcalf: A La Mirada native, performed at the La Mirada Performing Arts Center in 1977 in the first talent show hosted in the new theater. Returned in 1978 to be the special guest band for the next talent show, for a 30-minute showcase. Original touring keyboardist for Stryper ( La Mirada Band ) 1985-86 tours and current “frontman” for the tribute show “Kenny Metcalf as Elton”.
