Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre

Actors' Playhouse at The Miracle Theatre, located at 280 Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, Florida, is a renowned Florida Presenting Cultural Organization and one of the thirteen major cultural institutions in Miami-Dade County. Established in 1988, the Actors' Playhouse has been a producer of critically acclaimed dramatic and musical theatre for over three decades. The organization is dedicated to enriching South Florida's cultural landscape with a diverse range of classic and contemporary live theatre productions. The Actors' Playhouse began its journey in a converted movie theatre in Kendall, where it operated for its first seven years. In 1995, a significant partnership was formed with the City of Coral Gables to renovate the historic Miracle Theatre. This splendid Art Deco facility became the new home for the Actors' Playhouse. The renovation was made possible through the support of the State of Florida, Miami-Dade County, and numerous corporate and private donors. As part of the agreement, the Actors' Playhouse was granted a 45-year lease with free rent, taking on full responsibility for operating, managing programs, and raising funds for the city-owned facility.
