The Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse

Our Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse is officially going to be 100 years old on August 17, 2024, and we are going to celebrate! This will be an evening unlike ever before experienced in Brevard County…A unique cocktail party. White glove presented gourmet dinner, fabulous entertainment, “1924” wine, dancing, special “Diamond Dig”, Cork Pull, Silent and Live Auctions, Magical Midnight Anniversary Toast, and lots of surprises full of memories. Everyone is invited to be a sponsor or participant and join in this super celebration, the kickoff event for all the 100 Year activities!

Our heroes must travel back in time to save the world from certain doom. A splendid time is guaranteed for all.

Hot Pink Presents: Throwback to the Future Part II The Sequel Returns!

A zany rich-boy-meets-hometown-girl romantic comedy, Crazy For You tells the story of young New York banker Bobby Child, who is sent to Deadrock, Nevada, to foreclose on a rundown theatre. In Deadrock, Bobby falls for the spunky theatre owner’s daughter, but she takes an instant dislike to the city slicker, so Bobby vows through razzmatazz and a hilarious case of mistaken identity, to win her heart and save the theatre. Presented by our oldest STARS of Tomorrow (Ages 14-18), this award-winning classic features memorable Gershwin tunes from the score including “I Got Rhythm,” “Naughty Baby,” “They Can't Take That Away from Me,” “Embraceable You,” “But Not for Me,” “Nice Work If You Can Get It” and “Someone to Watch Over Me.”

Friday FUNday is a perfect event for all children, including daycares and field trips, to introduce young children to the Performing Arts at an affordable cost. Tickets are only $4 to $5 per person for this fun-filled afternoon of singing, dancing, audience participation, and other variety acts that are suitable for the whole family.

Welcome to opening night of the Cornley University Drama Society’s newest production, The Murder at Haversham Manor, where things are quickly going from bad to utterly disastrous. This 1920s whodunit has everything you never wanted in a show—an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines). Nevertheless, the accident-prone thespians battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences! Part Monty Python, part Sherlock Holmes, this Olivier Award–winning comedy is a global phenomenon that’s guaranteed to leave you aching with laughter!

Auditions for A Play That Goes Wrong

In a Western territory just after the turn of the 20th century, a high-spirited rivalry between local farmers and cowboys provides a colorful background for Curly, a charming cowboy, and Laurey, a feisty farm girl, to play out their love story. Their romantic journey, as bumpy as a surrey ride down a country road, contrasts with the comic exploits of brazen Ado Annie and hapless Will Parker in a musical adventure embracing hope, determination and the promise of a new land.

Imagine what it must have been like when “The Aladdin” theatre, Brevard’s first silent movie house, became “the scenic place of the Indian River Section” as quoted from the Cocoa Tribune,1924. An angel is sent from Heaven to help a desperately frustrated businessman by showing him what life would have been like if he had never existed.

The official resident ballet company of the Playhouse, The Galmont Ballet presents the holiday family classic that has been delighting audiences annually at the theatre for over a decade. One of the most famous ballets of all time, The Nutcracker tells the story of a young girl's journey to a magical land on Christmas Eve.
