Encore Players presents Encore 10×10, a festival of ten-minute plays! The performance will include 10 plays, most of which were written by playwrights from Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, and Castro Valley. Each play is directed by a different director, some of whom are also the writer for that play. And each of the 20 actors, aging in range from 15 to 70+, performs in multiple plays. Play genres range from serious and thought-provoking to ridiculous and hilarious! Playwrights include Donna Blevins, Jackson Mayo, Jeff Kaskey, John Ruzicka, Alice Farmer, M.Pepper Langlinais, Claire McNerney, Martha McDowell and Bruce Kane. Bothwell Arts Center

This spring, Valley Dance Theatre will present ballet performances featuring our many new male dancers. These works have not been presented for many years due to the fact so many men are needed. With eight young men joining in, Chaconne is a vibrant tour de force with five couples and live music “on stage”. Additional pieces include Acts II and III from Swan Lake and The Seasons by Vivaldi. Live music is provided by the Valley Dance Theatre Pit orchestra.
