The Ulysses String Quartet was founded in 2015 and quickly rose to prominence with top prize wins at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and Schoenfeld International String Competition. Consisting of violinists Christina Bouey and Rhiannon Banerdt, violist Colin Brookes and cellist Grace Ho, the quartet's members hail from Canada, the United States and Taiwan. They join LSU for a three-day residency, culminating in an exciting concert program of modern string chamber works.

Brian Utley is senior lecturer in saxophone at Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music, where he also coordinates the chamber music program. Yamaha artist Paul Merkelo has been hailed as 'the new Maurice André' by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Principal trumpet with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal since 1995, he was the first member of the orchestra to be invited to record a debut solo album with the group (French Trumpet Concertos - Kent Nagano) and served as a Canadian Music Ambassador to China.

Rebecca Morgan Frank is an award-winning poet and author of four books of poetry. Her work has appeared in various places, including The New Yorker and Academy of American Poets Poem-a-Day. She has received many honors and held positions such as Jacob Ziskind Poet-in-Residence at Brandeis University and Visiting Poet at UC Irvine. Frank is the editor-in-chief of the online magazine Memorious and the Hemingway Foundation's writer-in-residence.

LSU Boyd Professor Willis Delony presents "Images, Standards, Improvisations and Ballades - with a little Stardust in the end", an afternoon program of piano music exploring the connections between classical and jazz traditions through classic works by Claude Debussy, Frederic Chopin, Joe Makholm, John Lewis, Wayne Shorter, and Hoagy Carmichael.

Stately Oaks and Junior Oaks are multi-day camps designed for high school (grades 9 – 12) and middle school (grades 7 and 8) band students. Students will participate in full band rehearsals, receive a group masterclass on their instrument, and have the exciting opportunity to engage with one of the LSU concert ensembles in an interactive rehearsal.

The LSU Choirs present the annual LSU Candlelight Concert, a festive and celebratory performance ringing in the season with holiday music, spirituals, and more. This year, the LSU Choirs join with the LSU Jazz Trio (Willis Delony, Molly Redfield, and Brian Forrest) and welcome the LSU Gospel Choir for a lively jazz caroling experience!
