Berkshire Opera Festival (BOF) is a fully-producing summer festival that launched its inaugural season in 2016. Dedicated to the highest standards of artistic excellence, BOF presents operatic productions, recitals, and related musical events, restoring fully-staged opera to prominence in the Berkshire arts community. The festival aims to make opera accessible and affordable to all residents while nurturing the art form's relevance and transformative power. BOF is committed to inclusion, diversity, equity, and access, and operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Executive Director Abigail Rollins, with nearly 20 years of experience in the nonprofit performing arts sector, joined BOF in 2019 and has significantly contributed to the organization's growth and stability. Artistic Director and Co-Founder Brian Garman oversees all musical and artistic facets, having conducted numerous acclaimed productions since BOF's inception. Director of Production and Co-Founder Jonathon Loy brings extensive experience from prestigious opera houses worldwide. BOF's mission is to entertain and enrich the lives of people throughout the Berkshire region by providing world-class operatic performances. The organization prides itself on being an integral part of the community, reflecting diverse stories on stage and fostering an inclusive environment.
