The Special Consensus is a bluegrass band that has achieved a contemporary sound in their four decades of performing, making their music a modern classic. The band is led by Greg Cahill, banjo player and recipient of the Distinguished Achievement Award from the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA), and includes Greg Blake (guitar), Dan Eubanks (bass) and Michael Prewitt (mandolin).

As Kanin Wren’s career continues to soar, she has made a significant impact on the music scene with the highly anticipated launch of Kanin Wren's Taylor Swift Experience in 2023. Recognizing the growing demand and the admiration for both Kanin and Taylor Swift, the Michigan native curated a special live experience that captivated fans. The shows have been an instant success, with tickets selling out quickly, leaving many eager fans unable to secure a spot.

The Ludington Area Center for the Arts (LACA) will host guitar and drum duo Cold Chocolate Saturday, Feb. 17.

Cold Chocolate is a genre-bending Americana band that fuses folk, funk and bluegrass to create a unique sound all their own. Featuring Ethan Robbins on guitar and mandolin and Ariel Bernstein on percussion and banjo, this power duo from Boston is impressing audiences throughout New England and beyond.

~ The festival will be presented live at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts (Ludington, Mich.) May 17-19, 2024.
~ All plays must be written by a Michigan playwright (current or past resident).
~ All plays must be complete, 10-minute plays, running approximately 10 minutes, with small casts.
~ No musicals, please.
~ Plays can be of any genre, on any theme or subject.
~ Plays should be royalty-free and formatted in standard playwriting form.
~ Previously staged plays are permitted.
~ Limit of two (2) submissions per playwright.
