The Murray Hill Theatre is a historic and premier faith-based live music venue located at 932 Edgewood Avenue South in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Jacksonville, Florida. Originally opened as a movie theatre in 1948, the venue underwent a significant transformation when it was repurposed in 1995 by Murray Hill Ministries, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit, Christian faith-based organization founded by Tony Nasrallah. With a mission to present the Christian Faith in a unique, positive, and relevant way, the Murray Hill Theatre serves as a beacon of hope and redemption in the community. The venue offers a safe and wholesome environment for all ages, free from alcohol, drugs, and smoke. It is renowned for its state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, providing high-quality live entertainment and arts. The theatre's programming is designed to appeal to youth, young adults, and adults, offering an alternative to typical bars and nightclubs. The theatre's general admission capacity is 598 for standing-room-only shows, but this number can be reduced to 300 when seating is arranged. The venue also features a snack bar with light snacks and beverages, contributing to the overall experience of attendees. Murray Hill Theatre Ministries is dedicated to using live music and entertainment to reach out to individuals who may not have an understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as to encourage and strengthen the faith of believers. In addition to hosting events produced by Murray Hill Theatre Ministries, the venue is available for rent for private parties, meetings, and other events. It also offers the possibility of co-production and is occasionally used by other organizations for their own events. The theatre boasts a comprehensive array of house production equipment, including a high-quality EAW KF850 sound system, Behringer X32 FOH Console, and an array of lighting equipment featuring Martin Mac 101 washes, Elation Dartz beams, and Chauvet Intimidator Spot LED movers, among others.
