The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, the City of Fayetteville, and Fayetteville PWC will present a free admission Independence Concert on July 4, 2024 in Festival Park located in Fayetteville, NC! Experience performances from the FSO, Fayetteville Symphonic Band, Cumberland Choral Arts, Ayana Washington, and the 82nd Airborne Division Band. Fireworks will conclude the night. Join the FSO as we shine a spotlight on the contributions of Black composers and artists in classical music in honor of Black History Month. Experience selections from Florence Price, Antonín Dvorák, and more. This concert will be held at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and tickets are $10 for adults & $5 for children ages 6-18. Tickets are required and can be purchase here or at the door the night of the concert.

The Fayetteville Symphony’s fundraiser will transport you to the Spanish wine country as you enjoy an exclusive performance by Concertmaster, Fabián López, and his impressive accompanist Inara Zandmane. Enjoy delectable Spanish tapas and wines in the heart of Downtown Fayetteville. Doors open at 6pm for drinks, small bites, and mingling. The performance will begin at 7:30pm. 100% of sales will benefit the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra.

Join us for a special string orchestra performance at Friendship Baptist Church. Patrons can look forward to hearing selections from renowned BIPOC composers such as Florence Price, Jessie Montgomery, and Daniel Bernard Roumain. Also featured on this program is Vivaldi’s “Concerto for 4 Violins” and Tchaikovsky’s “Serenade for Strings”.  Vivaldi’s “Concerto for 4 Violins” will feature our Concertmaster, Fabián López, Associate Concertmaster, Megan Kenny, FSYO Concertmaster, Halle Adams, and FSO violinist, Holland Phillips.

This classical chamber music concert involving 20 Fayetteville Symphony musicians will be centered around Handel’s Water Music Suite. The Fayetteville Symphony will perform suites 1-3 in the beautiful sanctuary of St. John’s Episcopal Church.

2025 marks the 200th anniversary of Lafayette’s visit to Fayetteville, the only namesake city he visited in his lifetime. To celebrate the anniversary of his visit, we will present a chamber concert featuring music written by French composers. This program is a true chamber music concert and will feature string and woodwind musicians performing unconducted music. Maestro Stefan Sanders will provide commentary and insight from the stage.

Experience the world premiere of a new work by Ahmed Al Abaca commissioned by the FSO. This exciting new piece will feature FSO’s own, Dr. Ron Ford. You may know Ron from his exceptional saxophone solo on our 2022 John Williams concert or from his many astounding performances with the FSO Jazz Ensemble.
