== Nevada School of the Arts (NSA) == Nevada School of the Arts (NSA) is a distinguished non-profit community arts school located in Las Vegas, Nevada, dedicated to providing world-class music instruction and fostering a lifelong passion for the arts. Established on July 7, 1977, NSA has evolved from its initial incarnation as the Saturday Conservatory, an outreach program of the Music Department at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a successful summer arts camp at Mt. Charleston. === History === The school's roots trace back to its early days operating within the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) facilities. In 1991, NSA moved its administrative offices and main teaching center to the Paradise Elementary School campus. A significant transition occurred in 1994 when the school relocated to the campus of Las Vegas Academy of International Studies, Performing and Visual Arts in downtown Las Vegas. The growth of NSA necessitated another move in 2004 to the Festivals Professional Business Park. Since 2008, with the support of Mayor Oscar Goodman, current Mayor Carolyn Goodman, and the Las Vegas City Council, NSA has been one of the resident organizations at the Historic Fifth Street School. Over the past four decades, NSA has significantly impacted the Las Vegas Valley's cultural landscape, expanding its programs and services at the Fifth Street School Auditorium and Gallery, as well as various venues throughout the region. NSA has formed partnerships with entities such as the Clark County School District, City of Las Vegas, Las Vegas Philharmonic, and Nevada Ballet Academy. The school's students have earned local, regional, and national recognition for their excellence. === Mission and Objectives === NSA's mission is to provide a transformative experience through music instruction to students of all ages and backgrounds, while also developing responsible and enlightened citizens who appreciate the arts. The school's objectives include nurturing personal and artistic development, providing a dedicated and professional faculty, offering diverse curriculum and performances, providing tuition assistance, responding to individual and community needs, maintaining educational partnerships, and advocating for the arts. === Programs and Faculty === NSA offers a comprehensive range of programs including private and class instruction in piano, guitar, voice, strings, woodwinds, brass, and jazz, along with drama and visual arts. The faculty comprises internationally acclaimed artists and educators with credentials from prestigious institutions such as The Juilliard School and the Manhattan School of Music. === Governance === The school is overseen by a Board of Trustees, comprising individuals with diverse backgrounds in finance, music, law, education, and the entertainment industry.
