Lineage Performing Arts Center

Pasadena, CA, United States

== Lineage Performing Arts Center == The Lineage Performing Arts Center (LPAC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a connection with the arts within the community. It serves as a hub for creative expression through dance, music, theater, and other performing arts. LPAC is committed to producing its own performances, providing a space for visiting artists to showcase their work, and offering educational opportunities to nurture talent and growth. Founded by the Lineage Dance Company, LPAC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization that has become the cornerstone of live productions since its inception. The Dance Company, which is at the heart of LPAC, has been instrumental in shaping the center's vision and outreach. In 2009, LPAC launched the Dance For Joy program, which offers free acting, dance, and voice classes for individuals with neurological challenges, including Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), traumatic brain injury (TBI), Alzheimer's, dementia, and stroke. This initiative reflects LPAC's inclusive philosophy and its commitment to making the arts accessible to a diverse range of participants. LPAC's vision extends to ensuring equitable access to arts education within the local community. The center actively works with local students through its Artists In Schools program, aiming to inspire and cultivate young artists. Beyond its educational endeavors, LPAC also collaborates with other nonprofit organizations to support important causes, raise awareness, and generate funds. This partnership approach underscores LPAC's role as an integral part of a supportive network within the community. LPAC offers a variety of classes, performances, and workshops that span the spectrum of performing arts, including dance, theater, and music. The center's programs are supported by generous contributions from organizations and individual donors, ensuring that LPAC can continue to offer its services and maintain its mission. Located at 920 E. Mountain Street in Pasadena, LPAC shares a building with CVS at the corner of Lake and Mountain. The center advises visitors to use caution when relying on map applications for directions due to its relatively new location. LPAC provides free parking in the CVS lot, and requests that guests respect the residential neighborhood by using major streets when arriving and departing. For those interested in supporting LPAC's mission, the center welcomes tax-deductible donations and offers various ways for individuals to get involved. Whether it's through participating in classes, attending performances, or contributing to the center's programs, LPAC invites the community to join in its celebration of the arts.
