Lancaster Performing Arts Center

Lancaster, CA, United States

The Lancaster Performing Arts Center (LPAC), located at 750 West Lancaster Boulevard in Lancaster, California, is a cultural hub established with the aim of serving the citizens of Lancaster and its neighboring communities. The decision to build this cultural center was made by the Lancaster City Council in 1989, and the project came to fruition when the center opened its doors on November 22, 1991. The inception of LPAC was accompanied by the establishment of The Lancaster Performing Arts Center Foundation. This foundation was created to provide essential support in the form of capital, equipment, performance enhancements, and particularly financial assistance for the Arts for Youth program. The foundation continues to play a pivotal role in the center's operations and success through the generous contributions of its supporters. Now celebrating its 31st season, LPAC has grown to be the largest performing arts facility in the northernmost region of Los Angeles County, an area often referred to as the Antelope Valley. The center has become an integral part of the community, not only offering city-sponsored entertainment events but also serving as a stage for local music, dance, and theater groups. LPAC's mission is to create dynamic experiences by offering a broad spectrum of quality and engaging performances. It is committed to promoting education through the arts and strengthening the community by embracing its culture and diversity. The center also focuses on enriching the quality of life for residents and supporting the economic vitality of the community. As a proud partner of The BLVD Cultural District, LPAC contributes significantly to the area's cultural events and heritage. The center's facilities are designed to be accessible, with provisions such as wheelchair access to all shows and events, and accommodations for individuals with disabilities. The Lancaster Performing Arts Center is more than just a venue for shows; it is a place where volunteers can contribute to the arts and where the community can come together to experience the transformative power of performance. With a varied program that includes LPAC Season Shows, Special Events, Rental Events, and Companies in Residence, the center continues to be a beacon for the performing arts in the Antelope Valley.
