THE DANBURY CONCERT CHORUS, UNDER THE DIRECTION OF GUEST CONDUCTOR JOHN CUK, WILL PRESENT A CONCERT FEATURING MUSICAL TRIBUTES TO MARIAN ANDERSON AND CHARLES IVES, WORKS BY VERDI, MENDELSSOHN, COHEN, JARAMILLO, AND SELECTIONS FROM GEORGE SHEARING’S “SONGS AND SONNETS”.

Danbury Concert Chorus: A Celebration of Danbury & the Bard

Please join us for this special concert of magnificent motets, including the famous Mozart Ave verum corpus, the sumptuous Fauré Cantique de Jean Racine, the haunting Liszt Ave verum corpus, as well as two beautiful works by Mendelssohn presented in the composer’s rarely heard versions in English. Three works by Elgar, and motets by Schubert, Franck and Chadwick complete the program.
