Conroe Symphony Orchestra

Conroe, TX, United States

The Conroe Symphony Orchestra (CSO) is a prominent cultural institution based in Conroe, Texas, dedicated to enhancing the cultural landscape of the community through exceptional musical performances. Established in 1997, the CSO has a rich history of artistic excellence, guided initially by the expertise of conductors such as Dr. Robert Zwick and Dr. Don Hutson. Currently, the orchestra flourishes under the baton of Music Director Gary Liebst. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the CSO's mission is to contribute to the cultural enrichment of the Conroe area, ensuring a higher quality of life for its residents. The orchestra's vision is to be recognized as one of the premier community orchestras in the state of Texas. This vision is supported by the orchestra's commitment to delivering outstanding musical experiences that foster a love for music and establish a deep connection with the community. The orchestra's Board of Directors, along with the Symphony Players and various supporters, work collaboratively to bring this vision to life. The CSO also features a program called "Symphony Spotlights," which may highlight individual musicians, special programs, or unique aspects of the orchestra's work. The Conroe Symphony Orchestra hosts a variety of events throughout the year, with a strong emphasis on community engagement and accessibility. The orchestra relies on the support of its patrons, including the Friends of Symphony, a group dedicated to supporting the orchestra's endeavors. Financially, the CSO is supported by individual and corporate donations, grants, and ticket sales. The orchestra acknowledges and expresses gratitude for the support received from local entities such as the City of Conroe, the Montgomery County Community Foundation, the Cullen Trust for the Performing Arts, and the Texas Commission on the Arts. These contributions are crucial in helping the CSO achieve its mission and continue to provide cultural enrichment to the community. The Conroe Symphony Orchestra invites the public to join them on their journey of bringing exceptional musical experiences to the community and to contribute to the ongoing success and vibrancy of the orchestra through donations and active participation in their events and programs.
