The Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra & Choir (ABO&C), founded by Ton Koopman, is a prominent ensemble known for its authentic performances of Baroque music. Ton Koopman, a distinguished conductor and harpsichordist, leads the ABO&C, which has an extensive discography and a rich concert history. The organization operates under the governance of a board of directors, with Ton Koopman as the director and Kiki Raposo de Haas as the business director. The ABO&C is recognized as a cultural ANBI (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling) by the Dutch tax authorities, making donations to the organization tax-deductible under certain conditions. The ensemble also maintains a library and offers opportunities for supporters to become friends of the organization, contributing to its ongoing mission to promote Baroque music.
