The concert highlights Sir Simon Rattle's commitment to working with young musicians, following his recent performance with the BRSO Academy. A notable feature of this concert is the collaboration with the young and talented pianist Tsotne Zedginidze, born in 2009. Zedginidze, who has previously impressed with his mature musical insight through performances of works by Debussy, Bartók, and Schoenberg, will take on Schoenberg's challenging Piano Concerto, op. 42, under Rattle's baton.
