An ensemble of Soulpepper musicians, led by Hailey Gillis and Raha Javanfar, follow the story of Joni’s move to the Canyon and the artists she encountered there. In addition to the play, Soulpepper offers a unique opportunity for Iranian, Kurdish, and West Asian emerging artists aged 18 and up to join our Playwriting Workshop led by award-winning playwright Shahrzad Arshadi. This free workshop, running from February 25-27, invites participants to begin writing original plays that blend autobiography, myth, and imagination.

"English" is a co-production with The Segal Centre for Performing Arts, featuring a talented cast and creative team, including Ghazal Partou, Aylin Oyan Salahshoor, Sepehr Reybod, Ghazal Azarbad, and more, under the co-direction of Anahita Dehbonehie and Guillermo Verdecchia.
