The Bucks County Symphony Orchestra (BCSO), established in 1953, has been a cornerstone of the Bucks County, Pennsylvania, arts community for nearly seven decades. Its mission is to share the joy of symphonic music through live performances and educational outreach, offering residents and visitors access to affordable symphonic music. The BCSO performs a variety of concerts each season, including subscription concerts featuring classical repertoire and internationally acclaimed soloists, a Family Concert highlighting young musicians and the winner of the BCSO Youth Concerto Competition, and a Pops Concert with Broadway performers. Education is a key component of the orchestra's mission, with programs such as concert collaborations with local schools, classroom visits by guest artists, and annual scholarship awards. The orchestra, led by distinguished conductors over the years, culminates in its current leadership under Music Director José Luis Domínguez. The BCSO is recognized for its artistic excellence, professionalism, and community engagement, operating under the Bucks County Symphony Society, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
