Apollo Theatre

Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue has showcased a wide range of critically received productions during its history including award-winning plays, musicals, dramas and comedies. Designed by the architect Lewin Sharp, this Grade II listed theatre was named after the Greek god of the arts and leader of the muses and was specifically designed for musical entertainment. The theatre opened with the American musical comedy The Belle of Bohemia and has since followed with notable productions including Rain Man, Jerusalem, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and, from 2017 - 2021, Dan Gillespie Sells and Tom MacRae’s award-winning, five-star musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie. The Apollo is currently home to Jerusalem.
