Oxford Playhouse

Oxford Playhouse is a prominent theatre located in Oxford, England, known for its diverse range of live performances. Established in 1938, it has become a cultural hub, presenting British and international drama, family shows, contemporary dance, music, comedy, lectures, and poetry. The theatre also produces and tours its own shows and hosts Artists in Residence. Oxford Playhouse includes the Burton Taylor Studio and organizes off-site events through its Playhouse Plays Out series. The Participation team engages over 15,000 people annually with post-show discussions, workshops, work experience, holiday schemes, a youth theatre, and a young people’s theatre company.
