When Furay left to form Poco with Jim Messina, Rusty Young, Randy Meisner, and George Grantham in 1968, his permanent influence in Country Rock became assured.

From his bluegrass beginnings through his otherworldly Flecktones, his duo with Chick Corea and his reimagining of Rhapsody in Blue, Fleck’s work never fails to surprise. What doesn’t surprise is the impeccable caliber of his collaborators — and this new trio includes two of the most gifted musicians of their generation.
The harpist, Casteñada, hails from Bogotá, Colombia, and has led his own bands in addition to sharing projects with such masters as Hiromi, Paquito D’Rivera and Grégoire Maret. 5-time Grammy-winner Sánchez grew up in Mexico City and built a reputation as one of the great jazz drummers through his work with guitarist Pat Metheny. He’s also been a visionary bandleader, helming progressive groups like Bad Hombre, and collaborated with Chick Corea, Gary Burton, Charlie Haden, Michael Brecker and other giants. An evening of storytelling from the producers of the popular Moth Podcast and Radio Hour. The Moth is true stories, told live and without notes. Since its founding, The Moth has presented more than fifteen thousand stories, told live and without notes, to standing-room-only crowds worldwide. The group celebrates the ability of stories to honor both the diversity and commonality of human experience, and to satisfy a vital human need for connection. It seeks to present recognized storytellers among established and emerging writers, performers and artists and to encourage storytelling among communities whose stories often go unheard.
The Moth began on a back porch in small-town Georgia, where our founder—poet and best-selling novelist George Dawes Green— would spend sultry summer evenings swapping spellbinding tales with a small circle of friends. There was a hole in the screen, which let in moths that were attracted to the light, and the group started calling themselves “The Moths.” When he moved to New York City, George wanted to recreate the feeling of those nights in his adopted city. The first New York Moth event was heldin George’s living room. But word spread fast, and the events soon moved to cafes and clubs throughout the city—and soon to popular venues throughout the country and beyond.

Whitney Cummings is a comedian, actor, writer, producer, director, entrepreneur, and host of the hit podcast “Good for You.” Launched in 2019, “Good For You” is self-produced and features conversations with Whitney’s friends, fellow comedians, and experts in a variety of fields, including neuroscience, veterinary medicine, and magic.
Best known for creating and starring in the NBC series “Whitney”, Whitney is also the co-creator and co-writer of the syndicated Emmy-nominated CBS comedy series “2 Broke Girls.” She has appeared in numerous television shows, films, and stand-up specials, including her sixth stand-up special “Mouthy” which was released on OnlyFans in November 2023.

Join Krishna Das and friends for an evening of sacred kirtan music to benefit the Tibetan Home of Hope. The event is co-hosted by the Kirtan Wallah Foundation. Krishna Das is an American vocalist known for his performances of kirtan, a Hindu devotional music. Since 1996 Krishna Das has released sixteen music albums, numerous videos, and published two books. He performed at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where his album, Live Ananda (2012), was nominated for the 2013 Grammy Award for Best New Age album. Krishna Das tours the world chanting with people from all communities and walks of life. The benefit will support the Tibetan Home of Hope which provides shelter, healthcare and education to Tibetan children; a safe haven where children thrive academically and are able to connect to their culture within a loving community.

Maria Bamford is revered for her deeply personal and experimental comedy about mental illness. She’s the author of the New York Times bestselling memoir Sure, I’ll Join Your Cult and is the star of four hour-long standup specials (Local Act, Weakness is the Brand, Old Baby and Maria Bamford: the special, special, special!) and the surreal, semi-autobiographical Netflix comedy series Lady Dynamite, about a comedian who suffers a nervous breakdown. Maria was the first female comic to have two half-hour Comedy Central Presents specials and starred alongside Patton Oswalt, Zach Galifianakis and Brian Posehn in The Comedians of Comedy. She also created and starred in the cult hit web series The Maria Bamford Show, in which she plays all the characters.

In addition to his work as a musician, Ritter is also a national best-selling author, having released two novels to date: 2021’s The Great Glorious Goddamn of It All and 2011’s Bright’s Passage. Released to critical attention, Stephen King wrote in The New York Times Book Review that Bright’s Passage “shines with a compressed lyricism that recalls Ray Bradbury in his prime…This is the work of a gifted novelist.”

For the first time ever, Disco Biscuits’ Jon Gutwillig (guitar) and Aron Magner (keyboards) plan to bring it back down to those building blocks, showcasing these lived-in songs in a brand new setting as an acoustic duo.

“It’s fascinating to interpret our catalogue in this way and to still find new and unique qualities to them” says Gutwillig after his first acoustic rehearsal with Magner, where they just had a guitar, a piano, and a set of songs that Disco Biscuits audiences know by heart. But even without all that electricity, perhaps the most enticing expectation for this show is that fans can still expect to embark on the improvisational-heavy adventures that the Disco Biscuits are celebrated for.

The beloved pair is entering a new era with Frog and Toad, an animated series of eight episodes, each containing two stories, wich debuted April 28, 2023  on Apple TV+. Of the 16 short stories on screen, six are new additions, and the rest were adapted from the books.The series is executive produced by Lobel’s children, Adrianne and Adam Lobel, who hope the show will reintroduce new audiences to their father’s work.

Bronx-born and raised Chazz Palminteri wrote A Bronx Tale in 1988. The powerful one-man stage play depicted his bruising childhood which included witnessing a gangland killing when he was nine years old. Palminteri played eighteen characters and brought them all to life in his autobiographical play. His friends, enemies and family came alive on stage. Hollywood Studios went crazy after seeing it and offered him millions of dollars to turn it into a major movie. There was one catch –they wanted to put a star in the role of Sonny and someone else to write the screenplay.
With two hundred dollars in the bank, Palminteri said no. He would hold out and wait. He wanted to play Sonny and write the screenplay. Then, one night, Palminteri walked into his dressing room and sitting there was Robert De Niro who just saw the show. Robert DeNiro gave Palminteri the chance he was waiting for, and as they say in Hollywood,the rest is history. Palminteri wrote the screenplay for the film A Bronx Taleand then most recently wrote the book for the Broadway Musical. It was the first time in history that the same actor wrote the one-man play, the moviescript, and the Broadway Musical and starred in each one. In the past thirty-fiveyears, Chazz has appeared in over sixty films, including, The Usual Suspects, Analyze This, Mulholland Falls, Jade, Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, Legend, and Bullets over Broadway, which he was nominated for an Academy Award. He has starred in over twenty television series and has won three Emmy Awards. Chazz is most recently appears in the shows Modern Family, Godfather of Harlem, Law & Orderand Gravesend.
