New Century

2023 saw Kneecap play triumphant sold-out shows at London’s Electric Ballroom, two shows at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre and headline a US tour which culminated with a sold-out show at New York’s Bowery Ballroom. In the summer the Irish rap trio signed to revered independent record label Heavenly Recordings and announced details of their Toddla T produced debut single for Heavenly Recordings, ‘Better Way To Live’ which is a collaboration with Fontaines D.C. ‘s superconductor frontman Grian Chatten, who brings a louche and ruffled charm to Kneecap’s relentless and addictive bounce. The band kick-started the new year with the world premiere of ‘KNEECAP’ the feature film at this year’s Sundance Film Festival’s opening night on Thursday 18th January. ‘The Kneecap biopic film’ is written and directed by Rich Peppiatt (‘One Rogue Reporter’) and stars Michael Fassbender. The trio head back to the US this spring for SXSW and a headline tour as well as playing festivals across the UK and Europe.
