There is a full guarantee of an instant Christmas atmosphere when the Royal Ballet's adventurous family performance The Nutcracker takes the stage in the Great Hall, according to tradition. George Balanchine's popular ballet has enchanted children and adults around the world since 1954, and in Musikhuset it won't really be Christmas until the Nutcracker comes to life.

Since its inception in 2011, the Aarhus International Piano Competition has established itself as one of the world's leading competitions for very young pianists. It is not often that you get the opportunity to look directly into the engine room of the symphony orchestra and see for yourself what role the conductor plays in the expression, emotions and dynamics of the music - not to mention the orchestra's interplay.
