Two storming performances at the New Forest Folk Festival and Fairport’s Cropredy Convention  in 2024 promoted what has become their 8th recording and another live offering at that. Born in Nettlebed on Valentine’s Day 1994 as a one-off special concert, Feast of Fiddles is a band of friends that puts on a show of huge dynamic range performed with passion, joy and a liberal dose of fun.  This year fiddlers Garry Blakeley (Band of Two), Ian Cutler (Bully Wee), Marion Fleetwood (Trad Arr, Sandy Denny Project), Tom Leary (Joe Brown), Brian McNeill (Battlefield Band) and Simon Swarbrick (Merry Hell) bring a large range of fiddle playing styles to the rock back-line – all held together by legendary drummer Dave Mattacks. It’s not unheard of for past alumni to make guest appearances along the way so keep an eye open for tour news on the website. Martin Turner and his band return to the concert stages during 2025 to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the formation of the original Wishbone Ash.

Wishbone Ash was formed by West Country musicians Martin Turner and Steve Upton, who arrived in London in 1969 to embark on their musical journey. Martin Turner envisaged the band’s innovative harmony-guitar hallmark and guitarists Ted Turner and Andy Powell were recruited via a now legendary Melody Maker advert. The partnership of the original line-up of Wishbone Ash forged a unique musical identity that would produce some of rock music's best loved works and influence numerous successful bands, resulting in millions of album sales and concert attendances. Wishbone Ash’s name would become synonymous with high quality, guitar-driven melodic rock music.

The Elvis Years

Jazz Sabbath were at the forefront of the underground UK jazz movement in the late Sixties. They were recording two albums in 1969, but both seemed destined never to be released. Until now.

Due to legal disputes with a session player the recording of the second album had to be abandoned and never to be mentioned again. Their first album was finished, but when news broke that pianist and band leader Milton Keanes had suffered a massive heart attack, the record label cancelled the release. They didn't want to risk releasing an album from a band that might lose its musical leader.

On 16 September 1977, at the age of 29, Marc’s life was cut short due to a fatal car accident. Now over 45 years have passed, T-Rextasy continues to celebrate Marc’s legacy by recreating that special authentic sound and the Bolanic imagery that Marc possessed, by playing all those iconic hits totally live and with the energy and passion that fans of any generation will enjoy.
