Eurydice is in love with Orpheus. Her dead father has advice for her wedding but his letters can't get through to the land of the living. When at last one does, she falls into the underworld, her memory wiped. How will she ever get home?

She is determined to escape the ghosts of her past by telling her son, Oswald the truth about his father. But on his return from his life as a painter in France, she finds that is not so straightforward. This brilliant adaptation by Richard Eyre, brings out the essence of Ibsen’s play perfectly in 2 short acts.

It’s the late 1600s; in a convent in Mexico one of the brightest women of her generation strives to reconcile her love for God with her desire for learning. A gifted and progressive writer she ﬁnds herself at the centre of a deadly battle of ideas when a new zealous, mysogynist Archbishop is installed. She is celebrated by the Spanish Vice Regal Court but is determined to be silenced by the Archbishop.

The Heresy Of Love

Three women. Three chance-meeting conversations, their interwoven threads spread over five years during which the audience is drawn to listen as much to what is left unsaid as to what can be heard. It deals with betrayal, rage and the letting-go of rage, with loss and with longing. It is funny and it is achingly sad.

The Approach

The Millgarth Incident Room, Leeds - the epicentre of the biggest manhunt in British police history. We follow Sergeant Megan Winterburn as she joins hundreds of officers working around the clock to find the man known as the Yorkshire Ripper. With public pressure mounting, the investigation resorts to increasingly audacious attempts to catch one of Britain’s most notorious serial killers.

Rich with action, the Past bites into the Present, turning their once quiet life crazingly topsy-turvey - will it end in murder?

Salome was originally written by Oscar Wilde, reimagined from historical references where her title was formerly known as ‘girl’. Dehumanised in history, Wilde gives Salome an identity; agency in her decisions and requests. This classic tale will be placed in a contemporary setting and in this version Salome will be sacred, inspired by the stories of the Vestal Virgins (382 AD Roman Empire). In a surreal parallel where women are close to extinction, Salome is almost idealised with little autonomy by rulers of this new age, namely Herod and his male court. Salome is multi-faceted and objectified but she is courageous in her choices, which inevitably leads to her death. Like the Vestal Virgins of the Roman Empire, Salome must obey and follow all the men in this “ cult” ; in particular her stepfather, Herod, not distracting herself with the alluring fruit of Jokanaan. Or is her infatuation with Jokanaan completely self-sabotage? I guess you will have to find out.
