As part of the MUK.jazz.sessions at the ZWE, the Institute of Jazz's 15 ensembles present the material they have developed together with their ensemble leaders in the ambiance of a small but sophisticated jazz club. The first set showcases the pieces and arrangements rehearsed during the semester. The second set is designed as an open jam session, in which external musicians can also perform alongside the students. The MUK.jazz.sessions also serve as dress rehearsals for the final concerts held at Porgy & Bess at the end of each semester: the MUK.jazz.afternoons at the end of January and the MUK.jazz.festival at the end of June.
