Late one rainy evening in London, there is a knock on the door of scientist Isaac Newton's study. It is the evening he is to die and God comes to visit with an errand.

He wants to understand his own image – what is a man?

A Thousand Years with God was Stig Dagerman's last literary attempt before his tragic death in 1954. 2023 marks the hundredth anniversary of Dagerman's birth. A Thousand Years with God is a performance that straddles the line between light and darkness, humor and seriousness.
