The program features two compositions by Antonio Giardina, Nightscapes and Mandorlo in Fiore , both performed for the first time ever. Two profoundly different works in origin and imagery, but united by a highly descriptive conception of music, in which sound often arises from an image, a real or imaginary landscape, or an emotional state transformed into musical material.

Tonight's program offers a refined musical journey through the 19th and 20th centuries, highlighting the extraordinary expressive possibilities of the flute and harp duo. The combination of the two instruments, among the most evocative in chamber music, allows for the exploration of a rich palette of sound, capable of evoking intimate and contemplative atmospheres, but also virtuosic impulses and accents of intense theatricality.
