“Hallo, hallo! De lytter til Kringkastingsselskapet A/S!” The 17-piece ensemble The Jazzistocrats – “Tigerstaden's syncopated lowbrow nobility” – aims to make you believe you are sitting inside an old radio from the early days of Norwegian broadcasting in the second half of the 1920s. Using instruments from that period, they recreate 1920s jazz and popular music exactly as it sounded at the time.

The Jazzistocrats

Herr Nilsen

Chamber jazz ensemble led by vocalist Erlend Bornhoffer, a smaller-ensemble counterpart to The Jazzistocrats, recreating the polished studio jazz of late-1920s New York.

Sinful Syncopaters

Traditional jazz with roots in New Orleans, and plenty of playing joy! Royal Garden Jazzband consists of seasoned musicians with a long musical friendship and a shared love of classic jazz. Musically, the band moves from New Orleans jazz and dixieland to swing, with the main emphasis on the dixieland style and the music of Louis Armstrong.

Royal Garden Jazzband

Asker Kulturhus

A musical time trip to the golden age of jazz in the 1920s. The Charleston Serenaders grow out of the authentic 1920s orchestra The Jazzistocrats, and offer Sweet Jazz and Hot Jazz in a freer, more playful and intimate format.
