After we had to cancel the concert with the Oddbjørn Blindheim Trio last time, we are especially delighted to invite you again. This time, Oddbjørn is joined by none other than Håkon Mjåset Johansen on drums and Svein Olav Blindheim on bass. Oddbjørn Blindheim presents Horace Silver tunes in his newly made arrangements under the title "Silver and Soul."

SOLID! is back with its sixth release, the follow-up to «Woodworks» from 2021. Once again the trio has invited saxophonist John Ellis from New York to add his distinctive touch. Needing deadlines to "get anything done," Bjørn Vidar Solli set one for himself. He booked and paid for the studio, bought plane tickets, and suddenly had a deadline there was no way to escape. "Perfect for getting the creativity going," according to Solli. The result was eight new compositions that SOLID! tested out on tour before entering the studio. "SOLID! has existed for over 20 years, and with such a long track record it becomes easier to write music tailored to my musicians," says Solli. "When composing, I have tried to make use of the musicians' individual strengths and quirks, and I have deliberately arranged things so that it is fun, challenging and flexible when we improvise over the material." The music was composed in Lier, recorded in Trondheim, mixed and mastered in Brooklyn, and now a finished product is at last ready to be shared with the world!
