New York City Opera’s summer series continues with Broadway Comes to Milford, a charming review of songs, duets, and ensembles that takes the audience on a musical journey through the 20th century. Featuring the Broadway stars of Sweeney Todd, Company, The Light in the Piazza, Carousel, Jesus Christ Superstar, and The Phantom of the Opera, this will be an evening of world-class storytelling and unforgettable performances.

"The blues helps you remember back before the troubles on hand," says Pulitzer Prize–winning composer and multi-Grammy Award–winning trumpeter Wynton Marsalis. "They carry you on the wings of angels to a timeless higher ground." Music Director Jader Bignamini leads Marsalis’s Blues Symphony and works by Gershwin and Bernstein that further define the American sound.
