Having just turned seventy, British-born guitarist Peter White raves about his latest album, 2025’s Light of Day. “I think this recording is one of the best I’ve ever made. I have as much enthusiasm and energy for music as I did in my twenties!” Additionally, 2024 marked his fiftieth year as a professional musician. There, he began with a gig in a Top Forty band at a holiday resort in Perranporth, a seaside resort town in the Southwest corner of England. Then, six months later, he met and officially launched his career recording and touring with singer/songwriter Al Stewart. Also, White co-wrote Stewart’s classic “Time Passages”.

Based on the true story of the singing von Trapp family and their courageous escape from the Nazis during World War II, The Sound of Music contains wall-to-wall hits such as “Edelweiss,” “My Favorite Things,” “Climb Every Mountain”, and of course, the title tune. Our semi-staged and costumed concert features award-winning Broadway star Jenn Gambatese (Tarzan, Wicked, Hairspray) as the irrepressible Maria; Tulsa’s favorite leading man Sam Briggs as the rugged-yet-refined Captain von Trapp; and international opera legend Leona Mitchell as the Mother Abbess.
