Experience the timeless magic of the Moody Blues as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra presents "GO NOW The Music of the Moody Blues," a spectacular tribute concert series. Scheduled for October 25-27, 2024, at the prestigious Meyerson Symphony Center, the concert series will feature performances on Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm, and a special Sunday matinee at 3:00pm. This ultimate tribute, put together by Gordy Marshall, who toured with the Moody Blues for 25 years, will bring to life classics like "Nights in White Satin," "Tuesday Afternoon," "Go Now," "Isn’t Life Strange," "I Know You’re Out There Somewhere," and "The Story In Your Eyes."

The East Coast Chamber Orchestra’s PCMF debut in 2022 drew raves from audiences: “The energy and artistry was astounding!” “Such virtuosic performances, and such wit and joy!” Well, they’re back, bringing with them Handmade Universe, a brand new work by Grammy-nominated composer Vijay Iyer that blends jazz harmonies with intricate orchestrations. A playful flourish of a string trio and a breathtaking arrangement of Bach's stunning Chaconne open the program, and the youthful vigor of Mendelssohn’s delightful Octet, written when he was just 16, brings the evening to a ravishing close.

Join us for the opening of the Listen Up Exhibit, a unique event showcasing the creative works of middle school students inspired by Kevin Puts' "Contact." This exhibit is part of the Princeton Festival's Family Day and features captivating visual art and literary works created by young artists and writers.

- **Art & Music Inspired by Kevin Puts' "Contact":** View an array of visual art and read literary pieces that reflect the students' interpretations of the music.
- **Meet the Artists:** Engage with the middle school students whose work is on display and celebrate their artistic achievements.
- **Special Guests:** Maestro Rossen Milanov and members of the genre-defying trio Time For Three—Nick Kendall, Charles Yang, and Ranaan Meyer—will be present to support the young artists.

**About the Listen Up Program:**
The Listen Up Program is an immersive musical and artistic experience designed for middle school-aged children. Participants attend a special performance and workshop by the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO), where they learn about the music and the creative process from the composer or conductor. Following the concert, students express their responses through various creative mediums such as poetry, writing, painting, and collage. This year, the students were inspired by the PSO's performance of "Contact," featuring Time For Three.

Eminent American pianist Shai Wosner joins ECCO to bask in the orchestra’s signature “warm glow” of sound (New York Times).

Pianist Shai Wosner, known for his “remarkable blend of the intellectual, physical and even devilish sides of performance” (Chicago Sun Times), joins members of ECCO for a program of music from the spiritual to the spooky: J. The program ends back on earth with Max Bruch’s lush, romantic Octet for Strings.

ECCO (East Coast Chamber Orchestra) fills the stage to share music of remembrance, nostalgia, and the will to live life to its fullest. The program features Edvard Grieg’s heartrending Holberg Suite “in the olden style”; Jamaican composer Eleanor Alberga’s tender elegy for her mother; and Franz Schubert’s searing, intense “Death and the Maiden” Quartet, heard here in Gustav Mahler’s unforgettable arrangement for string orchestra.

Spoil your Valentine with the perfect gift of a romantic program of emotional imagery and climaxing waves of sound that will run through you and excite the senses. Nick Kendall of the wildly popular trio Time for Three brings a fanciful violin concerto based on Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, while Debussy’s La Mer paints a majestic picture of the sea with a mosaic of orchestral colors. Also on the program, Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino honors NASA with his interstellar Voyage.

Defying convention and boundaries, Time For Three (TF3) stands at the busy intersection of classical music, Americana, and singer-songwriter. To experience TF3 live is to hear the various eras, styles, and traditions of Western music fold in on themselves and emerge anew. This Jukebox program, a featured event in this season’s biennial Asheville Amadeus Festival, includes all three members of TF3 and showcases an eclectic mix of original songs, popular covers, and some of the most iconic music ever written. “In person, the members of Time for Three come off as just three dudes in a band,” said NPR. “But with their staggering technique and freewheeling genre-crossing, it’s hard not to be swept up in the force of their contagious energy.”

Step into the enchanted world of German legends, filled with tales of mysterious swan knights, magic bullets, and mischievous tricksters. Then, delve into the otherworldly Contact; inspired by the idea of interstellar communication, this jazzy, bluegrass-infused, and ethereal concerto for trio was collaboratively written with and for Time For Three.
